The frog
The Frog is a brand new restaurant (2009) located on Suranaree road, between George and Dragon and Sri Pattana Hotel. The cook studied at CIA: not the central intelligence of America!!! But the Culinary Institute of America. And you might be surprised by their menu...
They are open for lunch and closed at 8:30 pm. Menu is Thai and English, and the owner can speak English very well. A set meal of baked chicken with ham, cheese and tomato sauce, served with a small salad and bread is 120 baht.
The roasted duck is excellent for 115 baht. Not a giant portion but really well prepared. They also served salads, pasta (between 40 to 70 baht), rice dishes and the desserts are awsome! Caramel custard for 30 baht, poached pear with raspberry sauce for 35 baht! We also recommend the spaghetti with pork ball and tomato sauce for 50 baht.
On top of that, they sell imported pasta, black and spinach pasta for example, homemade pickels (jar is 140 baht refill only 85 baht), BBQ sauce (jar is 300 baht refill is 250) and much more.
Their are now closed on SATURDAY. That's another great place to eat in Korat!
